FCA designed a new 18,000 SF Emergency Department designed for 35,000 visits annually. The department has separate walk-in and ambulance entrances and provides state-of-the-art care technologies and information systems it includes two resuscitation rooms, 22 acute treatment rooms, two isolation rooms and one secured holding room. The addition provided new parking for 300 cars as well as a new helipad adjacent to Emergency Department. This Emergency department was designed with a high clerestory windows in each patient treatment room providing natural light that comes in as well as a large scale clerestory window that provides natural light for the staff spaces as well. The department was right sized to accommodate future growth in volume and directly connects to the main lobby through an exterior link that also connects the adjacent Radiology department.
