St Mary's Medical Center: Cardiovascular

Healthcare Cardiovascular Pennsylvania
The project was a result from a Master Plan that was developed for the St. Mary’s Medical Center campus. This phase is a new single story overbuild that creates a second-floor infill plan. The program includes 50 new in-patient beds that can support the growing Cardiac program. The plan includes 4 PCU bays, 23 critical care beds and 26 semi-private beds that are part of a bed floor renovation. The PCU’s are directly connected the ground floor cardiac operation grooms via a dedicated elevator. There are two new cardiac OR’s that are included in the expansion of the surgical platform. On the bed floors, patient care was conceptualized as a decentralized approach, bringing nursing and physician work areas closer to patients directly adjacent to patient room. Medical staff can maintain close contact with patients and families.
