An extensive renovation of the OR and pre and post-surgical areas are included in this project to improve patient and staff satisfaction and implement new technologies throughout each OR room. By updating the technology, education can be better implemented for the attending students. With the renovations, all of OR’s are digitally designed to transmit data and images to remote locations for analysis and consultation and teaching, and to receive images, (PACS) and data from remote locations throughout the hospital. The four heart OR’s are designed with raised viewing rooms for real time observation of procedures. The renovation scope included the pre and post recovery areas, sterile core, staff and family areas, and the following specialty OR’s: cystology, ortho, min. invasive, heart and general procedures.
